Signal Amplifier
Designed a Signal Amplifier from start to finish on KiCad with 555 Timers to light up and down LEDs for the UBC PHYS E-Lab PCB Course.

Schematic context
The board is powered from the wall using a barrel jack connector and powers numerous 555 timers to rapidly switch some LEDs on and off. Potentiometers are used to adjust the frequency at which the 555 timer oscillates, allowing the toggle speed of the LEDs to be manipulated.
Design decisions
Part selection was chosen for its tolerance and its ability to handle the voltage/current loads throughout the circuit. Numerous ground pours and test points were used to make testing easier, with drill holes so the PCB can be mounted to a surface.
Bring-up & testing
After ordering the PCB, the signal amplifier was soldered manually and tested using an oscilloscope, a digital multimeter, and for its functionality.
