RC Airplane
Built ~670g foam board RC airplane with friend throughout first year engineering. Survived 17 test flights and flew briefly during several of them.

Context
Start date describes first day of fabrication. End date describes day of test flight. We will start Plane v2 Summer 2026. Many problems were encountered as we tried to build this plane from scratch.
Approach
We both had huge interests in aerospace throughout high school so relied on that knowledge/intuition to make decisions. We also used plenty of online resources to learn and inform our decisions.
Outcome
A plane that experienced brief, almost-controlled flight, and lots of knowledge and experience. And also a fun time!
