Catch Can
I designed a rules complaint catch can for the liquid cooling loop of the UBC Formula Electric FSAE car.

Context
All liquid cooling loops must have a catch can that satisfies a minimum capacity and temperature rating, as well as location and sealing/mounting rules.
Approach
I designed the catch can in SOLIDWORKS, FDM printed the body out of PA12-CF, water-jet the lid out of steel, and sealed it with epoxy, an o-ring, and screws.
Outcome
Judges at the 2026 Michigan FSAE Electric competition said it was the most rules complaint catch can at the competition.
